What to Expect During Our Sessions
Therapy with me isn't
one-size-fits-all.
We’ll figure out what works best for you.
Whether that’s digging into old patterns, learning to self-regulate, or just having a space to breathe and be real.
I pull from EMDR, parts work, and relational therapy, but more than anything, I focus on building something that actually feels helpful and authentic to you.
There’s also a high chance you’ll see a cat or dog pop into the background. Consider them part of the support team!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is insurance accepted?
At this time, I do not accept insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement as an out-of-network service.
Is everything discussed confidential?
In short, yes! Your privacy is very important to me, and everything we discuss in therapy is kept confidential. This means I will not share any information about you or our sessions without your written permission.
However, there are a few legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, where I may be required to break confidentiality to ensure safety:
-
If there is reason to believe you are at immediate risk of seriously harming yourself or someone else
-
If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly adult, or dependent adult
-
If I am subpoenaed by a court of law or required to comply with a legal investigation
I will always do my best to discuss any concerns with you before taking action, whenever possible. If you have any questions about confidentiality, I encourage you to ask—I want you to feel safe and informed.
What is a superbill?
A superbill includes all the information your insurance company needs to process a claim, such as diagnosis codes, session dates, and fees paid. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan's out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your provider in advance to ask about your coverage.
How long until I see results?
Most clients start to feel a difference after 8 sessions, however, I’ve had clients state they have felt a difference after a few sessions and others may need more than 8 sessions to feel a difference. This truly depends on what your goals are and the reason(s) you are coming to therapy for.
